You can paint over ceramic tile walls in a bathroom, but you will lose some of the interesting characteristics of tile since the grout lines will be the same color as the tile. Also, you will have better luck if you avoid painting tile which receives a lot of water or wear, such as: Tile tub or shower surround.

What kind of paint can be used on countertops? When it comes to choosing paint for your countertop, a two-part water-based epoxy paint is usually your best bet. You must mix the two components together, but it doesn't require a primer and the paint is fully cured in approximately four days. Acrylic enamel paint also works well withoutprimer.

How do you cover up old tile? To install them, clean the old tiles with an all-purpose cleaner; allow the tiles to dry; remove the paper backing from a self-stick tile; and press it into place over an-old tile. Use scissors to cut the tiles to fit around wall switches or electrical outlets. Continue adhering as many self-stick tiles as you need.

Can I put peel and stick tiles over old tiles? Tile Over Existing TileAs long as you prepare your existing surface well, you can place most peel-and-stick tiles over existing surfaces. Do keep in mind that some peel-and-stick tiles will only adhere well when the grout lines are filled in to be flush with the existingtile.
