How many types of bows are there?

Does compound bow length matter? Bows with longer brace heights are going to be more forgiving. This is because the arrow is coming off of the string sooner rather than later, meaning that the shooter has less time to influence the shot. These are also usually a bit slower in terms of fps. I'd say that alonger brace height is anything above 6 1/2”.

What type of ribbon makes the best bows? For the double bow, we suggest using thin, non-wired, double-sided ribbon for best results. As you can see in the video, we use single-sided ribbon, which still works. However, one of the loops will be twisted, as you have to twist the ribbon on the second loop in step 2 so that the right side is still facingyou.

Are longer bows easier to draw? the longer limbs are just more "bendable" so they feel easier on the draw. the trend is towards speed, and allot of that speed is accomplished by short limbs that have a faster reaction than the longer limbs. the price you pay is that the bow feels harsher to-draw.
