How to Check DFS Replication Status

  1. Open DFS Management.
  2. Expand Replication and Select the Group that you want to create the Report.
  3. From the right side click Create DiagnosticReport.

How long is DFS Replication? For servers in different sites it can be considerably longer depending on the AD topology. AD sites "replicate" low priority changes every 30 to 120 minutes and if the sites are not logically adjacent to eachother in the topology you have to wait for the changes to make it there and back.

How do I run a DFS health report? To create a diagnostic report, open the DFS management console and right-click the replication group that you want to examine. Choose the Create Diagnostic Report option from the shortcut menu and Windows will launch the Diagnostic Report Wizard, shown in FigureA.
