How long does it take metamorphic rocks to form? 20 to 30 million years

What is the main use of metamorphic rocks? Uses of Metamorphic RocksQuartzite and marble are commonly used for building materials and artwork. How are rocks classified? Rocks are classified according to characteristics such as mineral and chemical composition, permeability, texture of the constituent particles, and particle size. This transformation produces three general classes of rock: igneous, sedimentary andmetamorphic.
