Horsetail (Equisetum hyemale), also called rough horsetail or scouring rush, is a non-flowering evergreen perennial. It has vertical green stems with horizontal bands, similar to bamboo, but the stems are skinny, like tall grass, and it reproduces through spores (not seed), likeferns.
