UL Listed Mark (all variations)UL Listing means that UL has tested representative samples of a product and determined that the product meets specific, defined requirements. These requirements are often based on UL's published and nationally recognized Standards for-Safety.

How do you know if something is UL listed? Check the Label

  1. Look for the UL trademark!
  2. Right under the UL trademark, the word LISTED or CLASSIFIED will appear in all capital letters.
  3. Under LISTED/CLASSIFIED you will find what the product is.
  4. Most importantly, under the product identity is the control or issue number.

Is CE certification accepted in USA? The CE mark is unrelated to the requirements for_product safety in the United States. In the United States, under OSHA's NRTL requirements, the product must have the specific mark of one of the NRTLs recognized to test and certify this type of product.

What is the difference between UL and FM? So the basic requirements for listing under the same category are basically identical. FM is best known for their fire listings of but they do list central stations for burglary aswell. UL is well known for both its burglary and fire listing. ETL's central station listing program is in its early phases.
