Tile inlay is a contrasting design set into a tiled surface such as a floor, patio, bathroom wall, or backsplash. They are laid using the same process as your filed (background) tiles. Usually a tile inlay is included as part of a larger home renovation, for example, a tile floorinstallation.

Is wood look tile trendy? Wood looks will likely be trendy for the next decade or so. Although, I predict high variation kitchen tiles will stay trendy significantly longer. You're familiar with color variation, so now it's time to meet a close cousin to that trend: finishvariation.

Can you put wood tile next to wood floor? You will NEVER find a faux wood tile that will look identical to your existing oak flooring (or any wood flooring for that matter) and therefore, this eliminates that option rightaway.

Does wood and tile look good together? Hardwood is a classic and high-end option for flooring, but ceramic tile offers durability and affordability. Combining the two materials in a single room creates acustomized look that attracts buyers and impresses your friends with your design skills.

Does grout stick to wood? Sometimes bare wood can suck the moisture out of the grout, but usually there is enough glue on the wood to prevent this. Misting can help, but misting sometimes leaches the color out of thegrout.
