The Overflow Tube empties directly into the toilet bowl. This water raises the water level in (refills) the bowl. If it weren't for the Refill Tube there would be only a small amount of water in the bottom of the bowl. The Refill Tube must be located above the Overflow-Tube.

How do you unblock a badly clogged toilet? If you don't think the toilet is badly blocked, you can try pouring hot water into the toilet bowl from a bit of a height before using a plunger – this can help dissolve the blockage, pushing it hard through the pipe and is the more environmentally friendly way of unblocking your toilet.

Why does my toilet overflow when I flush it? A toilet overflow usually occurs when a blockage prevents water and waste from flushing smoothly down the toilet drain. This backup prevents water and waste from flowing down the drain and results in your toilet overflowing. As your toilet backs up, clean water and waste will overflow the toiletbowl.

Why is my tank overflowing? When your overflow pipe is leaking, it may indicate that you've got a problem with the float valve. The float valve is usually a plastic ball at the end of a metal arm in the tank that's usually found in the loft. It controls the water level of the tank and will cause your overflow pipe toleak if it's faulty.

Why does my toilet float stick? Causes. The float needs to be able to lower to trigger the valve. A stuck collar float is usually caused by the collar rubbing against the side of the tank, which can be fixed by turning the float so that it no longer rubs on the side of the tank. Ballcock floats can also rub against thetank walls.
