Your Traeger Won't LightIf the auger is delivering pellets to the fire pot, but they're not lighting, there's a good chance the igniter is bad. You can check if it's working by running the grill without pellets. The tip of the igniter extends into the fire pot and should glow when the grill is turned on.

How do you smoke on a Traeger 575? With the Traeger, you flip the power switch, dial the temperature you want for the grill, set the desired temperature for the meat probe and press the ignite button. You'll start seeing smoke in less than five minutes. Put the meat on the grill, insert the probe and close the lid. Now you-wait.

Can you use a Traeger in the rain? I use my pellet grill year round and not having to stand in the rain makes a big difference. I'd HIGHLY recommed something like this for your Traeger both for your comfort and extending the grill life. The biggest thing is keeping the pellets dry. I've used mine in the rain and snow without any illeffect.

Can I use my Traeger in the garage? Tip: Never put your smoker grill in the garage oran enclosed patio to keep it warm.

Why is my Traeger smoking so much? At times, the Traeger may produce too much smoke. If the grill is not allowed to cool down before turning it to smoke, the leftover pellets in the burn pot can cause air to be blown through the auger, rather than the burn pot, and create a lot of black_smoke.
